Ha ha what a dumb contest
Ohio is the greatest state in the country and here is another reason why: Mary Sue Williams won the CNBC stock-picking contest. She’s a waitress and never traded a stock in her life.
We all knew the contest was dumb. Maybe I will have the uglychart.com Number Picking Contest where everyone picks a number between one and a million and whoever is closest to the number I pick wins. May the best trader win.
The only thing is that contests like this will make people think things like “see, I told you the stock market is gambling – it’s just pure luck!” and blah blah blah.
“Traffic at CNBC.com increased sharply during the contest” but they’ve decided not to run it again.
