Frontier Oil Corp. (FTO)
The good thing about day trading is that you can take advantage of the good days for leading stocks, but you don't have to hold them when they go down. Of course, sometimes they gap up and you don't get anything from that - but that is the reward you give up in exchange for less risk of holding the stock overnight.
FTO had a beautiful intraday up trend:

I don't like getting stopped out of a stock and then watching it turn around and continue in my direction, so I have not been adjusting my stops much. The only thing I have been doing is adjusting them to breakeven when I have a substantial profit. This didn't work well today and is something to think about:
