Josh Waitzkin, Chess and Kung Fu Master

Josh Waitzkin, famous child chess prodigy of the movie Searching for Bobby Fischer, is also 5-time and current Tai Chi Chuan Push Hands Middleweight National Champion in both the Restricted Step and Moving Step divisions. In 2004 he won the Middleweight World Championship Title in Tai Chi Chuan Push Hands (Fixed Step) and became the Middleweight World Co-Champion in Tai Chi Chuan Push Hands (Moving Step) competing in the 7th Chung Hwa Cup International Tai Chi Chuan Championships in Taiwan.

Does this kid have Kurzweil styled nanos coarsing through his veins ? 5 years old ? Are you kidding me ?

I was learning how to tie my shoes and sit straight in my dinner chair. This kid is talking about taking advantage of opportunities. I feel really stupid right about now.

Well he's 29 now. He never became a grandmaster at chess, though, which is kind of interesting considering he was a prodigy.
