A week of penance
I have made myself almost physically sick with my lack of sympathy, pity, humility, kindness and love and my overabundance of pride, greed, lust and every of the most base thoughts, acts and desires. I apologize for my depravity and many weaknesses and I am deserving of all and more of the ridicule and derision that is directed my way.
Honestly, I feel despicable and I do not think I am being too harsh.
Therefore, although I am not Jewish, I am going to take these ten days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur for teshuvah (repentance), tzedakah (charity), and tfiloh (prayer).
I will sleep on the hardwood floor beside my bed, meditate daily and fast for 25 hours before sunset on Yom Kippur. All ad revenue will be donated to charity.

Hmm.. not sure why you would want to do that.. but there are a few more you can add if you so desire:
maasim tovim (good deeds), kaparot (atonement) and tashlich (throwing all the bad stuff into the sea, might be difficult to do in the Twin Cities)
p.s. small typo, it should read tfilot..

Hmm,
Can I have your duct taped cap? I think that would be a good way of achieving your penance.

I will make you a brand new one - send me an email with your address and I'll send it to you.

Dude, you forgot to add the Indians blowing it down the stretch as another possible reason you feel so lousy. You're not the only one who feels lousy, though. My suggestion is to continue with your self-reflection and meditation with the aid of a few Yeunglings.

Cement would be harder. I woke up throughout the night, uncomfortable - but I felt better this morning. It isn't punishment, but penance.

well, if it's not punishment, maybe you oughtta look in the back of one-a philly's weeklys and find a lady who WILL punish you... teach you a goddamn lesson...

You don't sleep on cement, you sleep on concrete. Cement is the binding agent between sand and gravel. After the mixture cures it becomes concrete.
Concrete reaches its maximum compressive strength after 28 days, unless you use accelerants but that discussion is for another time.

Tom,
You sound like a guy who knows his way around the yard at FRK or LAF. Triple top potential for the latter on heavy volume.

Todd,
I'm a civil engineer, I better know my construction materials!
