Bobby Fischer and his website
Insanity is an interesting thing. For some people it is easy to see that it is only a disease and once they are treated with medication, they are themselves once again. For others, it seems rooted in their core and inseperable from the personality. It can also be hard to judge insanity because of this. One definition of it might be the opposite of reason. Bobby Fischer seems very unreasonable. For example, from his website:
The list of crimes the filthy U.S. -controlled Japanese Ministry of Justice(!) has committed against Bobby starting at about 5:30 p.m. on July 13, 2004 is a depressingly long one and we've delved into many of them in some detail elsewhere on this website. However, there is one crime by the so-called "Ministry of Justice" that has hardly been touched on except briefly in Bobby's Live Radio Interview #30 and that is the fact that alcoholic beverages which are so vitally important to a person's health are strictly banned for Bobby and all of the other unfortunate prisoners at the East Japan Immigration Detention Center, in Ushiku, Ibaraki prefecture, Japan. On the other hand, cigarettes, which of course are pure poison, are freely available in unlimited quantities in the prison and tax free at that! But alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited! There are only 2 possibilities we can think of: Either the Japanese government is composed of ignorant fools or else they're deliberately trying to debilitate and kill their prisoners. We think the latter is much more likely...
