For those who don't know, Bobby Fischer was caught in Japan for playing in an illegal chess tournament in Yugoslavia with his old rival, Boris Spassky. That was a few months ago and he is still being held in the Tokyo airport.
Bobby Fischer reminds me of Bobby Dylan. They both were young when they were thrown into the spotlight and it has made them both grow up into a skewed reality. But Bobby Fischer was the greatest chess player of our time and I think Bob Dylan was the greatest songwriter of the 20th century. If you haven't seen Searching for Bobby Fischer, I very highly recommend it. It gives you a glimpse of the excitement of what most people consider to be a dull game.
