		<description>It is an interesting debate whether a machine that can pass the Turing Test in its ideal form actually possesses genuine mental states or just emuates the presence of mental states.  In my non-blogger life I am a philosophy teacher and working on my doctorate in Philosophy of Mind, so this is tangentially related to my research.   Thanks!</description>
