Check out this chart of the adoption of new technologies since 1900. What surprised me most? In 1915, only 20% of homes had electricity! Less than 100 years ago it was practically the dark ages – literally. They lit CANDLES at night. CANDLES.
Look how far we have come in less than 100 years. Based on the exponential increase in information technology, the amount of technological change and progress in the next 100 years will be the same as that in the last 20,000 years. 20,000 years!
20,000 years ago we had stone tools, could use fire and had just begun to make cave paintings.
