Hi,

I'm new here. Can someone explain what is meant by R? I see people saying they made "2R", etc. Thanks!

Awesome, Ugly! I started Remata about the same time your chart above started. Wish I did as well as you! I agree with everything you said in your post 100%. It's a great way to go if you're disciplined and have a good strategy--then the leverage can really pay off.

thanks guys
Dave - I'm not sure about the R, I didn't keep track.
StockPunk - I probably watch about 10 stocks a day.
oonr7 - I pay very low commissions. The prop firm doesn't take a cut. Other than that I have some data/platform fees that are about $250/month.
My prop firm is Remata Trading. I've had nothing but good things to say about them for the almost 2 years I have been using them. If you contact them about opening an account - tell them you were sent from uglychart.com

Hello,

Just wanted to ask, which broker do you use that gives you 1:20 leverage on stocks ?
Leverage and choice of instruments is an issue at my current broker and I am thinking of switching. Unfortunately due to various reasons I decided not to use IB, but after a third choice.

Many thanks

ugly... great results. Can I ask what kind of fees you're paying with the prop account? Is it just commissions per trade or do they take a percentage? I can see how the benefit of the extra leverage can help protect your overall investment risk (more buying power means putting less money up front) but your overall risk per trade is still the same.
