I get a lot of questions from people asking me how they can make these charts pop-up and look so awesome. Here is a tutorial showing how to do it.

Humans put computers in their place at poker championship

Thursday, July 26th, 2007

The humans beat the computers in the last minutes of the fourth match in the Poker Tournament this week. It was very close, the computer played “brilliantly” - it won’t be long now until computers are the best poker players in the world.

“I really am happy it’s over,” said Eslami, 30, adding that playing against the computer was more exhausting than any previous game in his career.

“I’m surprised we won…. it’s already so good it will be tough to beat in future” as scientists make further improvements on Polaris’ programming.

I was informed that my prop trading account was funded and ready around 11am, so I made some small trades to test out the new platform:

Crash and burn

Tuesday, July 24th, 2007

The market really tanked today. I was supposed to be doing programming work, but I ended up making a few futures trades:
Russell 2000 futures
Today is one of those days where almost everyone is like “Man! If I only would’ve….”
Or they are like “Oh man, I feel sick…”
Why didn’t I short five contracts instead of just two? Why did I cover one so soon?
It’s never as easy as it looks like it should have been after it is over.
I’ve mentioned Brian’s blog before, but it is a great resource for traders. I highly recommend the daily Stock Market Video Technical Analysis Review - it saves me a lot of time every day.
