As a 26 year old who at the tender age of 18 earned 1.5 in one year and 3 years after had my machines in just about every bar,club and food establishment in the tri-state area, with over 4 in the bank and 2.6 in various investments,then sold the Biz to a company you may know as Sanis,or I guess now Cintas really, anyhow young dumb and fulla chum as they say, how is it now that I lost it all became a swilling Bourbon drunk working on a huge Ferris wheel at the state Fair, I hope that with 35 -5oz servings this 12%alc box of fun , I will be able to ween myself off the Old Crow at $6.50 a 750ml and get sober enough to come up with a crafty plan to swindle enough ride tickets to retire somewhere warm.

But does it come with the little straws on the side so you can drink it right out of the box? Now THAT would make it worth the price!

[...] I just bought this box of wine today and haven’t tried it yet, but I can still write the review. It isn’t going to taste good. It will taste about the same to me as the Chianti that I reviewed last time. As a matter of fact, I don’t know if I would be able to tell the difference between the two. I could probably taste a difference, but I don’t think I’d be able to pick them out in a blind taste test. It is going to taste like cheap box wine. But I’m starting to think that taste is for wimps. This 5 liter box of wine for $12.99 gives me the same health benefits and buzz that a $5000 750ml bottle does. It just doesn’t taste as good. But what is taste? It is here and gone in a gulp. Does it do you any good? I used to think that I’d rather have a good bottle of wine over a bad box of wine, if cost weren’t an issue. But now I think I might rather have the bad. The good wine could make me soft. I might start to complain and be unsatisfied with the less finer tasting things in life. Overall I highly recommend the 2007 Franzia Burgundy which I haven’t tried yet because it is cheap, good for you, and probably tastes bad. [...]

I was telling my wife about your boxed wine review and tonight she comes home with a surprise for me! Wine Block. It’s a 1.5liter box of Cab from Kendall Jackson. http://www.wineblock.com It’s pretty darn good. And 1.5 liters (2 bottles) for $9.99, this could be trouble.

Alas, that’s my brand too, and for the same reason. Try the Cabernet Sauvignon. Perhaps not as bad.

Yeah, check out some of that Hardy’s stuff. I hear the Australian do boxed wine a little better than the rest of us. I’m excited to try the Shiraz or one of their whites.

The thing is though at 3L a pop, we’re either drinking too much or waiting a while before the next purchase.
