You can remove the big ticker symbol from the chart background (maybe you don't find it irritating, but I used to and it took me a while to find out how to do so). Go to Options/edit preferences/charts tab/miscellaneous tab. From here, uncheck the Watermark box (under 'Show'). Another QT trick worth utilizing (esp. if you are stalking high volume breakout trades like those recommended by HSCP) is the %volume indicator, which shows the % volume being printed as compared to 90-day average volume. If you see that your stock has printed 30% of its normal volume by 10 a.m. and the QQQQ has only printed 10% of its norm, you will know that a decent breakout may be on the cards.
