Day Trading with Interactive Brokers
I’ve left the prop firm and I am on my own, so I needed to decide on which broker I would use to day trade.
I thought about signing right back up with Cybertrader, but I already had an account open with Interactive Brokers because of the ATS my friend and I have been working on - it uses the Interactive Brokers API.
I finally decided to just put it all into Interactive Brokers. The commissions are cheap, I can trade futures, I can use the API, and the executions are lightning quick. But the platform kind of sucks, so my plan was to subscribe to eSignal and use it for charting, alerts, etc… and just use IB for my orders.
But then HighChartPatterns posted a nice ToolTalk article on their blog and I’ve been looking at Ensign and I also plan to look at their other suggestions, QuoteTracker and ButtonTrader.
Anyone trade with IB and have any suggestions/advice? Thanks.
