Celgene Corporation (CELG)
What a day! Nice! Man, too bad I spent most of the day driving back from Ohio to Philadelphia, PA. I left at noon, luckily I bought CELG before I left.
I have had some questions as to why I am using the 1-minute charts. I’ve included a 1-min, 15-min and 6-month chart of CELG to show how I use them. I do not trade “off of” the 1-minute chart, but I use it for reference. I also have a 6-month chart up for each stock I look at for reference. But I trade off of a 30-min or 15-min chart:
I look at the 1-minute chart for the detail. It is the only way to see the block trades. With the 15 or 30 minute charts, you can see the high and the low, but you can’t see what happens during the candle. I use the 1-minute chart to take a closer look:
The 6-month chart gives me perspective as to how the day correlates to recent activity within the past few months:
On a strong day like today, it is hard to go wrong buying a top alpha stock making a new high.
