Ugly Picks

Wednesday, December 21st, 2005

Good morning, my name is Ugly, and I am a loser. I have it in me to do serious financial damage to my account.

Dear Diary,
It looks like the BBH found that support at $200, which is nice.
The market wasn’t as convincing, finishing weak after a strong start.
ULTI made a strong move to a new all-time high.

Winter Vegetables

Tuesday, December 20th, 2005

The mustard family of vegetables (also known as Cruciferae, Cole Crops and Brassicaceae) includes broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, kale and Brussels sprouts.
“These vegetables contain high levels of glucosinolates, which when eaten break down to release isothiocyanates. Evidence shows that these isothiocyanates, which include sulforaphane, are among the most powerful anti-cancer agents in the diet.”
I like to think of it like this: Vegetables are very healthy. Leafy greens are even more healthy. And the Brassicaceae are the most healthy of all. But it is best to eat a variety of fruits and vegetables.

SeraCare Life Sciences Inc. (SRLS)

Tuesday, December 20th, 2005

Ouch! What a difference a day makes. Yesterday I thought it was unfortunate to be stopped out of SRLS, but it was not, as it gapped down 50% this morning on bad news. These giant gaps are what make day trading less risky.

Tuesday, December 20th, 2005

Good morning, my name is Ugly, and I am a loser. I have it in me to do serious financial damage to my account.

Dear Diary,
Yesterday put a gash in the charts, leaving the up trend on hold:

I will be keeping an eye on the 2200 and 50dma levels for support.
