The Robosapien RS-1, “the first affordable humanoid robot,” is a kung fu fighting robot avalailable at RadioShack and Toys “R” Us for $99.99. The 1-foot-tall robot has 67 pre-programmed functions to pick-up, throw, kick, dance, kung-fu, fart, belch, rap and more. It also comes “fluent in international ‘caveman’ speech.” Robosapien is the first robot based on the science of applied biomorphic robotics and was developed by Mark Tilden, a robotics physicist who has worked for NASA, DARPA and JPL through Los Alamos National Laboratory.
